How to Install passwd software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

passwd software package provides change and administer password and group data, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install passwd

passwd is installed in your system.

Make ensure the passwd package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep passwd *

You will get with passwd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
